Alumni Who Have Gone On To Caddie

Scott Hale

Scotty Hale (pictured on the left) was part of the first session the school held in 2019.  Prior to that, Scotty served 25 years in the British Army. Soon after his session, Scotty was offered a caddie position with the St. Andrews Link’s Trust.  He has now done thousands of loops around the famed Old Course.

Scotty was asked to come back for the March 2022 session to serve as the Caddie Master for the new class of soldiers.  During that time Scotty was vital in training those soldiers on the skills needed to become a world class caddie.  Every Sunday when The Old Course becomes a park, Scotty would lead the soldiers around the grounds teaching them the secrets and history of the course as well as how they would instruct their golfer to play it.

Scotty is still currently doing loops for the St. Andrews Links Trust and can mostly be found looping on the Old Course.
